Kent Ashworth (1960)

Mildred passed in 2008 at the age of 92.  She always told the story about giving a report in school during her 7th grade years that she was going to do a lot of traveling when she grew up.  Everyone laughed and asked how was that going to happen because she was the poorest kid in town.  She did travel to China, Japan, Hawaii, the holy lands as well as many cruises to Alaska, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico and the East Coast.  Her greatest loves where her family and bridge.  Her family misses her very much.  She loved life and had a great sense of humor.

I always liked Mildred when I was a little kid living kitty-corner across from her and she was 'Kent's mom'.

Then as an adult I got re-acquainted with her when Wayne (Dorcas) and I lived in Bellingham and she lived in Anacortes.

A grand lady.
