Bob Roady - Class Of 1956

Great Falls —Robert F. Roady "Bob", 78, of Great Falls, MT passed away May 15, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Croxford Funeral Home.

Bob was born on May 1, 1937 in Shelby, MT to Leona Molder and Art Fleming. He spent his childhood in Sweetgrass, MT and later went on to graduate from Sunburst High School. After graduation, Bob joined the Army and made a career working in civil engineering, transferring over to the Montana Air National Guard for the remainder of his 34 year military career. Throughout his career, he also worked as a lineman for multiple power companies around Montana.

Bob married his first wife, Karen Gillespi, in 1960. They were blessed with four wonderful kids. Although this union ended in divorce, the family still remained close. He went on to marry Marcia Roady, and stayed by her side until her passing last January.

When he wasn't hard at work supporting his family, he spent his spare time bowling at the Elk's, golfing, and camping with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was hitting the road on his Harley Ultra Classic, traveling state to state with his 5th wheel. His loved ones will always remember him as a free spirit, loving father and grandfather who never missed a family event.

Bob is survived by his sons Shane (Jennifer) Roady of Great Falls, MT, Kenny (Janet) Roady of Liberty, MO; daughters Leona (Craig) Greenfield of Hastings, MI, Nikki (Patrick) Churchill of Yakima, WA; sisters Donna (Jerry) Obresely, Carrie Murray both of Great Falls, MT, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
