CONDON - "Duffy" William Hannon, 54, changed addresses to Heaven on Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at his family home in Condon after an eight-month-long battle with cancer. 

Duffy was born on Aug. 6, 1944, to William and Hazel Hannon in Shelby. He attended school in Sunburst, Townsend and Conrad. He joined the U.S. Navy, serving from 1961 to 1965. After serving in the Navy, Duffy worked as an operating engineer in Alaska, Washington and Montana. 

Duffy married Linda Bungart-Boyd on Feb. 26, 1979. The couple moved from Washington to Condon in 1986. He was a faithful member of Faith Chapel at Seeley Lake. Duffy had a tremendous and outspoken love for his Lord and his family, and will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by his wife Linda and daughter Angela at the family home; his son Jeff Onsager of Nebraska; and two granddaughters. He also is survived by his mother Hazel of Brady; four sisters, Cora McFadden of Portland, OR.; Lorraine Collins of Redding, CA; Darlene Kommens of Kokomo, IN; and Faye Stene of Sunburst; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Faith Chapel at Seeley Lake with a dinner to follow. 

Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory in Missoula.
