I will never forget sitting in the auditorium with the only light being provided by the "exit" sign while Jim played the baby grand piano on the stage. In that light he looked exactly like John Lennon as he played "Imagine".

Jim was so expressive. I will always see him giving me the pros and cons of an issue. If you think I used my hands while talking, just remember Jim. He used his whole body and was so passionate about stuff. And yes, he was our own John Lennon.

I remember the day Jim showed up at school as a first grader in Sweet Grass. I thought he was pretty cool then. He had a crooked middle finger. I had to have one too, so I would push my middle fingers over from the first joint. Now, I have two crooked middle fingers. I am going to pay for it in another 10-15 years I just know it.

Jim was a great musician, I loved listening to him play piano.
