Comments:

My very first teaching job was in Sunburst teaching Industrial Arts as they called it back then. My wife and I arrived here with two children in 1974, along with quite a few other new teachers that year. I left teaching in 2002 but stayed here in Sunburst and started working full time for U.S. Customs at SweetGrass. My wife Karen has retired from Northern Telephone here in Sunburst.
Our oldest son Jeremy lives in Billings with his wife and two sons, and Josh lives in Grand Junction, Colorado with his wife and two sons also.
Sunburst, and Sunburst High School was a fantastic place to start a teaching career and to raise our family.

School Story:

Everyday was a new story at Sunburst. In 28 years, there were so many great kids, and pretty much the same bunch of exceptional teachers that I worked with. The Sunburst community has so much to be proud of with that school system. It was hard to leave the good working community that we had in that system. At times I miss the school very much but then I remember dances, concessions, selling tickets, teachers meeting, parent teacher conferences, etc. and then all of a sudden I don't miss it so much anymore.
I coached Track and Field for 21 years at Sunburst and I want ot "Thank" each and everyone who participated in the track program. We had so many great and exciting times, set quite a few school records, but most of all I think we had a "good time". Remember I always said that Track was a very "social sport". We all made new friends even if most of the time the track meets were held with the temperature below the 50 degree mark and the wind was never less then 20 mph.

"Thank You, Sunburst and The Sunburst School Systems
