Lorri J. Housel

December 4, 1961 ~ February 19, 2018

Lorri Jean Housel, 56 of Sunburst passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on December 4, 1961 to Bob and Barb Lasher in Great Falls, MT. Lorri was raised in both Great Falls and Sunburst, MT with her 2 sisters (Sue and Holly) and 1 brother (Bobby). She graduated high school from Sunburst in 1980.

After graduating high school Lorri enrolled in beauty school. While working her way through school she was a pretty great poker dealer! In 1989 Lorri welcomed her boy, Sean, into her life. He was her world, her pride and joy. In 2001 Lorri married the love of her life, Mike. You could always catch the two together at the horse races every summer. In 2013 Lorri was blessed with her first grandbaby, Shaine. Shaine and Lorri were best friends. Saturday mornings you could always plan on seeing the two of them running wild down the isles at the grocery store together. She was blessed with another grandbaby, Natalie, in April of 2017. Lorri had worked at Somont Oil Company for about the last 10 years. There she formed a strong bond with many of the employees.

 Lorri enjoyed spending any chance she had with her close friends Joni, Julie and Linda. She enjoyed reading and dancing to the Hokey Pokey with her grandkids. Lorri was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone that crossed paths with her.

Lorri is survived by husband Mike Housel, son Sean Gilligan (Schae), brother Bobby Lasher (Christi), sisters Sue McMinn (Mike), Holly Lasher, Wendy Keller (Brad), Grandchildren Shaine and Natalie Gilligan.

She is proceeded in death by parents Bob and Barb Lasher and daughter Mickie Gilligan.

 Memorial mass will be held Monday, February 26, at 2:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. A reception at the Methodist Hall will follow the service.
