Marlene Maxwell (Fuller) - Class Of 1953 VIEW PROFILE

Marlene FULLER

January 15, 1935 Sunburst, MT - January 18, 2020 Calgary, AB

Marlene is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Jack Fuller, her son Steven Fuller (Lianys) and his children Erin (Michael), Joel, and Lauren, and her daughter Jackie (Brian) and their children Derek and Christopher. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Keith Wisnieski) of Oak Harbour, WA, and her brother Dean (Lisa) of Anacortes, WA.

Marlene was born in 1935 in Sunburst, MT. She moved to Canada in 1962 and became a Canadian citizen in 2000. Marlene was a Registered Nurse who worked in various Montana hospitals, as well as doctor's offices later in life. Marlene, along with her immediate family, was very involved in the ownership and bookkeeping of Earls Westhills, Calgary. Her grandchildren were her life; she adored and spoke highly of them to anyone who would listen. Her grandchildren will miss her strong spirit, as well as her famous thanksgiving dinners and her wit, counsel, and support. A few of her favourite pastimes included oil painting landscapes, cooking, crocheting, travelling abroad, and most importantly, bridge. She was an avid bridge player with the ACBL for many years and cherished the friendships she made there. Marlene was guarded fiercely and loved by her little rescue dog Abby, who will miss her dearly.

We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Helen Tse who went above and beyond as Marlenes family physician and Dr. Louw who oversaw moms palliative care while she was in hospice and a very special thank you to Lavonne Fuller for loving and supporting Marlene and family during this difficult time. Marlene's final weeks were spent in Dulcina Hospice in Calgary where every staff member was loving, supportive, and respectful not only to Marlene, but also to everyone in her family. For each of you, the family is very grateful. At Marlene's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Those wishing to pay tribute to Marlene may do so by making a donation in her name to the Dulcina Hospice (110 Evans Park Manor, Calgary, AB T3P 0B1) or the Salvation Army of Canada.

Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.edenbrookcemetery.ca.
