Doug and I moved to Tampa, Florida shortly after we were married in 1960. Our children (2 boys & 1 girl) were born in 1962, 1964 & 1966. We moved to Ocala in l972 when Doug joined Florida Parole & Probation as an officer. We lived here in Ocala, most of the remaining years, except for a short five years in Tallahassee, while I was Corporate Account Coordinator for Florida Lottery, during the start-up years. We then moved back to Ocala in 1993. Doug passed away in l994.
My life took a lot of changes after that, I did freelance work for couple of years, and then started working for the U.S. Census Bureau as a field interviewer part time. I progressed to full-time, and retired from there after 10 years of doing field work and working out of my home for the Bureau.
In l996 I met Gene Andrews, we have been together for the last 22 years. Since I retired we have traveled in our motorhome, so far we lack only three states to see, hopefully that will happen soon.
