Kiel passed away very unexpectedly November 1, 2008 while working as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Kiel's retired life was filled with good deeds and helping others.
I knew Kiel from infancy and we had a great grade and high school relationship as friends. Kiel was one of the very few young people who got an Eagle Scout Award, as well as two others. We were among about 6-7 others who hiked to the top of the Sweetgrass Hills with the Lutheran Young Group in about l954. We saw the "Stack" in Great Falls and could see for miles and miles. Awesome! Kiel & Nancy last visited me during the l994 reunion and stayed with me at our cabin in Essex. What a nice time we had. Thanks for the memories, Kiel. Marilyn
