Leon Francis Matzdorf, 77, passed away June 12, 2010. Leon was born in Alberta, Canada, Jan. 9, 1933, and grew up in Montana. Leon served in the U.S. Air Force, lived in California for 30 years and served in the Peace Corps in India.

He moved to Las Vegas in 1989. He is survived by his special friends, Frances Deviese and Michael Chavez.

His ashes will be laid to rest at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
