1966 - such a very long time ago. My family moved to Shelby in 1964, so I graduated a Coyote instead of a Refiner. In 1966, I attended the University of Montana and in four years graduated with a degree in Home Economics. I taught school in Superior for three years and was rescued by my husband, David. We were married in 1973 and lived in Bozeman for the next four years. While he was working toward a degree in Industrial Arts, I attended MSU and received a master's degree in family life and counseling. In 1977, we moved to Colstrip. I was a substitute teacher for one year and was rescued once again, this time by Security Bank of Colstrip. In 1980, we moved to Inverness. David worked as shop teacher, counselor, and driver's training instructor at J-I for 25 years (2 additional years at C-J-I). During that time, we adopted two beautiful children, Ryan and Megan. I had the privilege of staying home with them until they were finished with school. Six years prior to our move to Great Falls, I was a teaching assistant with the Head Start program in Rudyard.
