Les Whitt - Class Of 1977 VIEW PROFILE

Leslie A. Whitt

Shelby - Leslie Alan Whitt, 61, died on December 8th, 2020, in Great Falls after a long and brave battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Les was born on January 24, 1959 in Cut Bank, to Sid and Dolores Whitt. He grew up in Kevin and graduated from North Toole County High School in Sunburst in 1977.

Les worked in the Great Falls area as a freelance carpenter and as a cabinet maker at Modern Cabinet until his disease made work too difficult.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Dolores Whitt, and by his grandparents. He is survived by his three daughters, Liz (Kyle) Storck of Kirkland, Washington, Aly (Tim) Whitt of Boise, Idaho, and Kate Whitt of Great Falls; and his ex-wife, Velma Whitt of Great Falls; his brothers, Randy Whitt of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, Dave (Donna) Whitt of Shelby; his sister, Valorie (John) Sveum of Great Falls; along with many nieces and nephews.

Les loved sharks and the Seattle Seahawks, but what he was most proud of were his three adventurous, globe-trotting daughters. He will always be remembered for his sassy sense of humor and big blue eyes.

Les was laid to rest next to his Grandma Ethel in a family ceremony, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors, and friends who took such good care of Les throughout his life. Memorials in Les's name can be made to the M.S. Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Condolences can be made to Leslie's memorial page at www.asperfh.com

So sorry to hear about Les passing away.  He was a bright light to the class of 77.  Many fond memories of Les through school, sports and after high school.  Always positive even when struggling with the difficulties of MS.  Les will be missed but I am glad I can say he was a friend!

I was saddened to read of Les's passing. I know he has struggled during the past few years and is in a better place now. Bittersweet are the memories of a young Les in high school, so active and vibrant, which will be my memory of him.  Vaya con Dios, mi amigo.
