I have just finished looking through all of the photos you all put up! WOW - I am sad to have missed this but from what I saw everyone was having an excellent time. I saw some familiar faces and a lot of faces I did not recognize?! I guess I have been gone too long!

As everyone else has said, WHAT A GREAT JOB REUNION COMMITTEE!!! Kay & I had a great time visiting with everyone. It was a joy to see some old, and I mean old, friends. Everyone deserves a huge pat on the back for orginizing and putting on this event. I just wish we could do it more often, but then it would not be so special. I know there were people there that we did not get to talk to but it was hard to get to everyone. Again, thanks for the memories and getting us all together.

I can't begin to thank everyone who worked on the reunion enough. It was glorious, wonderful, and the best organized event I've attended. The hugs, laughter, tears, dancing, memories made me realize how wonderful our little town and school were. We were blessed in so many ways living in Sunburst, Montana. I know all the Gottfried family had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Ditto to Evelyn's comments. I don't know how you guys did it. You must have been working in your sleep as well as daytime for months to pull this off so successfully.
Thanks!

I have never had this much fun in two days in my life! Kudos to everyone that helped with planning & then everyone that helped with putting the plans in motion & also cleaning up after. Korey, You did such a good job, especially with getting this site so people can contact each other! Honestly I think your crowning touch for the weekend was the welcome flags all over town! I think that everything you guys planned & did worked! Thanks! Nona Johannsen Byrne

Congratulations to everyone on the reunion committee and to all the volunteers! It was a fantastic reunion. Everything seemed to run like clockwork, the meals were good, and the price very reasonable. We had a great time. This web site is wonderful, well done.
It was great to see all of you, friends and classmates.

I want to write and tell you how much we enjoy this web site. We couldn't be there, but after seeing all the pictures and reading all the comments, I almost feel like we were. Thanks alot for this and hope everyone keeps posting their pictures.
Also, thanks to the commitee for posting the pictures of the t-sgirts that Rod's sisters were selling to help Rod with his battle with cancer. We so appreciate being from such a great and caring community. Fae (Hannon) Stene

I have to concur with my Aunt Evelyn. This Gottfried had a wonderful time at the reunion. I came back to Maryland and told folks about this little town I grew up and went to school in hosting 1500 people and they were amazed.
I didn't get to see and visit with as many folks as I'd have liked, but this forum gives me a chance to continue staying in touch and I truly appreciate that.
Thank you to all who made this possible, your hours of work and devotion will never be forgotten.
Take care everyone.

Hi Refiners! If you've never seen a man in total terror, go to Sharon Lawson Dill's photos and take a gander at my mug. I never imagined my face betrayed the absolutely forlorn feeling I suffered at that moment. Facing the awesome task and huge honor of introducing Diane Fauque's "NTCHS Memories" show, I felt entirely lost and hopeless. None of the drafts I'd written seemed appropriate. But, the good Lord carried me through, as He has so many times in my life. Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm still flying high remembering every little detail of "the big shindig." That fabulous weekend numbers among the top ten of my life. Thanks again to everyone. Joe

Ona Roll passed away this week in Washington. A town a short distance from Anacortes, Washington where they moved when the refinery moved. She had spent the last 3 years in a Nursing Home. She was divorced with 2 boys who lived in N. D. and a daughter in Alaska. Jimmy Roll lives in Anacortes as does her sister Evelyn Treadwell and I am not sure where Ron Roll the other brother lives. They will have a Memorial on Tuesday in Anacortes.

Thank you, Linda, for the update about Ona Roll. Ona was a Sweet Grass kid, and my prom date my freshman year. The Roll family have all remained true blue friends through the years. We share their loss, and we hope they take heart at this special season. Christ's birthday is a time we can all celebrate, in the hope of that Great Reunion in His Kingdom.
The 2010 All-School reunion is fresh in my mind. I consider it my best Christmas present this year. So fantastic to have those precious days to renew old bonds, even if only for a few minutes with each cherished friend. Thanks again to everyone, especially the citizens of Sunburst and all North Toole County for their painstaking organization, preparation and hospitality. It went off like it was rehearsed a hundred times.
One more thing! Please, please, Refiners! Keep your profiles updated on the website. Changes in address and e-mail service especially. It only takes a minute to get on line and tell us all where and how you are.
Merry Christmas!! And Happy New Year to all.

Sorry, Refiners, for leaving incomplete information. Just checked my '58 Caprock to make certain; Ona Roll was in the NTCHS class of 1960, but she never registered on this website. She moved to Anacortes in summer 1958 and graduated from high school there, another victim of the Texaco transfer.

Those of you that graduated after 1976 will no doubt remember Alan Ryan as the superintendant. After his retirement several years ago, he remained in Sunburst. We were all very saddened yesterday, Dec. 22, as he passed away very unexpectedly at his home. He has had lung problems for several years and has been on oxygen for 3-4 years. He used an electric cart to get around quite often. So his health wasn't great, but nonetheless he had been doing well and had been out and about the day before being his usual humorous self. We will sure miss him. Rest in peace, Alan.

To those North Toole County folks who are remembering our mother (Doris Meagher) with such kind thoughts and good memories:
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at Hunters Pointe, 2801 Colonial Drive, in Helena on Saturday, April 30th at 3:00 pm with a luncheon to follow. There will be a graveside service at the Cut Bank cemetery on Monday May 2nd at 10:00 am with a luncheon to follow at the Cut Bank Presbyterian Church. Guests are invited to speak at either service.
We intend for her services to be more of a celebration of the way she lived her life rather than a sad affair. She maintained her humor and positive outlook right up until the end even though her pain was getting progressively worse. In her own words recently she gratefully said, "When I was a young girl I never dreamed I'd live so long or have such a good life and do all of the things that Joe and I did together." She is now pain free, in a better place with the Lord, and reunited with the love of her life. We are putting a slide show together on a DVD for the luncheon with several of her favorite songs she played on the piano as follows: Alley Cat, Mack the Knife, Boogie Woogie Blues, and Sentimental Journey.
Instead of flowers, any contributions are requested to be sent in her memory to Homes For Our Troops, 6 Main Street, Taunton, MA 02780. They build specialty adapted homes at no cost for our returning severely injured troops. Check out their website at homesforourtroops.org
Thanks,
Marcia Bragg, 1959, and Terry Meagher, 1954

Hi Everybody! I enjoy looking through the Community Gallery pictures on this website so much, but I've noticed that there haven't been any new pictures added in quite a while. So, how about getting those camera chips out of your cameras and share with all of us NTCHS'ers some more pic's of the fantastic Sunburst Refiner All Class Reunion of 2010? Thanks! - Wendy Paisley Olson - Class of 1974

I have been remembering the wonderful time I had last year in Sunburst at the reunion. It was one of the best things I have ever done in my entire life and will have this memory forever! Enjoy seeing friends I had not seen in 50 years! It was dream to someday get to return and I am thrilled I was able to fulfill that dream. Thanks to Nancy (Ehli) for showing myself and my friend all of our all stomping grounds. So glad I got to visit with Melvin & Wava Danbrook & their family. I spent a great deal of time with them when I was in Sweetgrass! Also visiting with the Premos was another one of my highlights. Eveyln Treadwell (Roll) and her husband! I had visited Evelyn in Anacorters in 98 or 99 seeing her, Ona, Jimmy, Ronnie! Thanks to all who worked so hard putting the reunion together!
